Aerials
At Horizon all our work and materials
conform to the CAI (Confederation of Aerial Industries
Limited) standards. We are competitively priced and you
will be guaranteed a professional installation, when
using our company. We aim to be as flexible as possible
with convenience of appointments. Same day service can
often be achieved.
TV/Radio Aerial Callout Prices from £59.00 Our Aerial
callout includes technical signal assessment, setting up
an aerial rig for assessing signal levels before rigging
and tuning to any TV/Video or Hi-fi. Parts (e.g. cable,
aerial, connectors, lashing kits and brackets) are
charged extra. If your callout turns into a new aerial
then the callout charge will come off the price of the
new aerial.
TV Aerial Installations:
(Digital TV & Radio Aerial Installation from £99.00)
Aerial installation prices include a quality aerial, up
to 20 metres of new coaxial cable, connectors, mast and
bracket. If an amplifier or splitter is required then
there will be an additional charge. The price of the
aerial install is dependant on the aerial and the
brackets that you require; this can be affected by a
number of factors including where you live and what
services you want to pick up. Both Aerials that we
supply are digital ready. We currently use either the
Alcad which is a High gain digital Aerial or a Televes
Infinito which is a Super gain digital aerial.
Additional TV Points:
(From £75.00)
Additional TV points mean that you can split from you
main Aerial to other rooms in the house. A single point
is usually possible without using a distribution
amplifier. The standard price of £75 includes all
required cabling from aerial or sky box to new location
of your choice within your house. Further points can be
added and if these works sre carried out at the same
visit they will be charged at £60 each point. With more
than one extra point a addition distribution amplifier
would be recommended to allow the signal to be shared
without degrading signal quality to other points (
between £35 - £65).
Amplifiers:
Amplifiers range from a 1 in 1 out to an 8
way amplifier, we can advise you either on the day or
over the telephone.
Triax Omni FM Aerials:
This will give you all local radio stations and BBC
1,2,3 and 4.
Triax 4 Element FM Aerials:
This FM aerial is a more directional FM aerial. It is
used for local and out of area stations.
Triax DAB Omni Radio Aerials:
For local DAB & BBC 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and others.
Triax DAB 5 Element Radio
Aerials:
For areas that want London DAB channels Jazz, Heart, Melody, etc.
Cable:
We only use double screened, foam type cable. This has a
high-grade copper inner. WF100 type. Brown or White.
Masts:
All masts that we use are lightweight aluminium. However
for specialised installs we can use heavy-duty or steel
masts. Mast sizes range from 3ft to 20ft (1m to 6m
approx.).
Connectors:
For all coax cable connections our engineers only use
snap and seal connectors. These are the best connectors
to use, as they are watertight so water can't get into
the connection after the install is completed and once
on the connector is almost impossible to remove.
