Sky Digital
Horizon Satellites are Sky Authorised
agents. In addition to standard installations we can do
communal and non standard installs.
This means that even if Sky say that you cannot have Sky
because it's a communal system or they cannot access the
area where the dish would need to go we can normally
carry out the installation.
We only use our own engineers, not subcontractors, so we
can guarantee the quality of our work. We also offer the
top of the range silver Pace box. We do not supply the
Amstrad box.
Standard Installation:
Standard installation of Sky includes a free digibox,
dish and cabling. We use brown or white coax cable to
match the brickwork on the house. However to take
advantage of this, the digibox must be connected to the
phone line for the first 12 months. This is a
stipulation by Sky (the reason being that Sky offer a
number of interactive services which they want people to
have access to). If you do not want your Sky box
connected to the telephone line then the you must pay a
one off fee to Sky before an installation can take
place.
Standard install would be for any Sky package from the
family pack upwards. If you wish to subscribe to any
package below this then the installation would be a
different price (please contact us for further details).
Non-Standard Installation:
Extra costs may apply for non-standard installation.

Communal Installation:
For a communal install then we would need to know if the
connection is wired to the communal dish. If it isn't
then unfortunately the price would be dependant on the
cable length and installation (please contact us for
further details).
View TV, Sky and DVD on Other
TV's:
Would you like to view your Sky, Video or DVD in another
room? This can be done as listed below:
Sky and Video:
Sky and video can be routed around your house via
coaxial cable. It can also be sent to more than one set
in this way and if you wanted to control the Sky box in
each room then this can be done with what is known as a
magic eye (£17.50 for a magic eye and £17.50 for the
remote control or £30 for both together). However using
this system each TV has to show the same Sky channel. If
you wanted different Sky channels on each set then each
set would require a separate Sky box. Please contact us
for more details. DVD: It is possible to send DVD around
the house. However because DVDs only have a SCART output
then you require an extra piece of equipment known as an
RF modulator. RF modulators cost £59 including VAT. Once
the DVD is sent around the system, then the DVD player
can also be controlled through the magic eye system.
